About Leyli Joon & Co
My name is Leyli Homayoonfar, I am professionally trained chef based in London. Born in Wales, my love for cooking stems from childhood where food was and still is central to my family's life, thanks to my Persian father and Welsh mother encouraging my siblings and I to constantly try new and exotic dishes.
I began my culinary career working my way up in award winning local restaurants in and around Cardiff and the surrounding areas, building a repertoire for French and Spanish cuisine. Eventually I moved to London a few years ago to further my career, working in Michelin starred restaurants before becoming Head Chef for Jamie Oliver.
With the help from my brother and sisters, I decided to start running Persian themed Supper Clubs in my spare time, initially to entertain close family and friends. As word spread about our exclusive events the demand has grown and grown so we launched Leyli Joon and Co our food events company, creating unique dining experiences in both London and Cardiff.
Joon is a term of endearment meaning life/soul used in the Persian language Farsi, affectionately said after a friend or loved ones name. At our Supper Clubs each of our guests become our Joons.
